Federated Identity and Access Control Services

The Federated Identity and Access Control  service provides authentication and authorization. Intercloud control plane agents use this service to secure activity across multiple organizations.

An intercloud, or “cloud-of-clouds” requires a security system that enables multiple organizations to share their capabilities in a trusted manner. Using identity standards such as OASIS SAML v2.0 or emerging standards and approaches such as OAuth and FOAF+SSL ensures that agents are authenticated and verified to comply with a particular access policy.

Elastra’s Federation Identity and Access Control services is initially based on the OpenSSO project’s identity services.
